Board Member / Foundation Ambassador

​Overview of Role
-
Each Board Member is a Foundation Ambassador (FA)
-
All FAs will be part of a Grade Level team so that all have the support to reach both our participation goals (80%) and financial goals ($1.5M).

FA Role is to be a champion and advocate for the Foundation!

To build a positive relationship between parents and the Foundation:
-
Educate parents on how their donations contribute to the excellence in education in our District.

Encourage generous giving.

To elect the Foundation President, Officers, Nominating Committee, Audit Committee, and new Board members
-
To vote on the amount of money the Foundation should give to the district at the end of the school year.

To vote on any recommended Foundation by-law changes, amendments
-
To participate in discussions regarding the fundraising strategy and tactics for the district.
. Overview of Responsibilities

Attend monthly 6-8 Board meetings and/or FA trainings typically the 4th Wednesday of the month.

Attend 1 or more event in Fall to represent AGC and Foundation (New family/Kinder Dinner, Parent information Night, Meet the teacher, Grade Level Gatherings, AGC Launch in front of schools at drop off/pickup, etc.).

AGC Outreach – Class and/or Grade level

Each FA will choose a cluster of LLESD families (typically 15-20) that they will forge a relationship with and ultimately work with to secure donations for giving campaign.

September – December – Weekly email, phone calls, face to face outreach encouraging families to donate before AGC deadline in early December.

Participate in 2 phone appeals, one in November and one in January

Participate in SWAT during January-February in last effort to secure final donations from families that have not yet participated.
Time Commitment
-
On average our Foundation ambassadors spend 1-2 hours per week during the busier months of Oct to December. We understand our volunteers have limited time, and we appreciate any time you can give to support the Foundation, and we will work to make sure your time is used effectively and efficiently.
